Belarus is not known for high earnings. At the time of writing this article, the minimum national salary is almost four times lower than in Poland. And all this at a very similar cost of living. No wonder Belarusian citizens are emigrating for work. Poland is their main direction.

Economic immigration has always existed, but it was then that it grew stronger. It is estimated that in 2016 up to four times more Belarusians came to Poland than a year ago. Poland lies near Belarus and is close to it in terms of culture. In addition, salaries increase here every year. From 2020, the minimum salary is to be PLN 2,450 gross. Specialists’ earnings are additionally many times higher.
Belarusians quickly learn Polish, take exams and work in their learned professions in Poland for more money. They are also appreciated by employers because they are more diligent than Poles, they take sick leave less often and are ready to work for more than 8 hours a day.
