For several years, Poland has had very low unemployment, the level of which in September 2019 was just 5.1%. This situation causes serious problems in finding the right employees for specific jobs. Therefore, business owners are forced to lower their requirements for candidates while guaranteeing them better working conditions.
Currently, employers in job offers posted in various places have reduced the number of requirements compared to previous years. Less and less often they need to have at least minimal experience, and the lack of appropriate education in many cases is no longer a significant obstacle to getting their dream job, all the more so considering the clear discrepancies between the curriculum and the real needs of the labor market. Employers also significantly reduced their requirements for foreign language skills. The lower requirements relate primarily to manual workers who are clearly lacking in the labor market.
Above all, promises of high pay are encouraging people to apply for a job in a given enterprise. Motivating potential employees only with financial considerations in the long run is not enough. Sports and medical packages, which are currently becoming more and more popular among workforce, are also often attractive to them. It is also very important to guarantee subordinates work opportunities based on an employment contract. On the other hand, at present, employees are less often offered the opportunity to use a company car or a specialist training package.
