Thanks to new technologies, the face of the modern market is changing rapidly. There is a demand for employees with higher professional qualifications, able to operate a computer and other machines. Technologies influence the way work is performed and the specificity of its perception. They make the traditional eight-hour work model disappear in favor of flexible time and implementation of various tasks and projects online. With their introduction, there are also various threats, such as the security of confidential data, as well as an increased risk of accidents at work due to the inability to operate new devices. Currently, more and more employees are forced to self-employment, which results in exclusion from employee protection. In turn, increasing the amount of work done while sitting helps obesity and cardiovascular disease.
Shaping safe jobs in the age of digitization is not a simple task. Nevertheless, efforts should be made to achieve this goal. Modern workforce needs to be familiarized with early technologies at the beginning of their professional careers, preferably while still in school and college. It is also worth, if possible, to actively involve employees in implementing modern production solutions. In turn, the development of a code of ethics for the use of inventions will reduce various abuses in this regard.
